Meatballs made with sausage and apples.

Servings:
Group

Complexity:
Easy

Total Time:
1 hour

Ingredients:
1 package pork sausage (regular, hot or maple flavored)
1&1/2 cup all-purpose baking mix
16 oz (4 cups) shredded Cheddar cheese
2 tart baking apples, cored, peeled and coarsely grated
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup toasted chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Directions:
Let cheese and sausage come to room temperature. Mix all ingredients together - hands are easiest.

Form into 1-inch balls. Bake on rimmed baking pan for 20 minutes at 375 degrees.

Cook's Notes:
Great snack for a large group.
