Baked Brie
Submitted by Sue Lowes on Feb 03, 2010

Baked Brie with tender crust

Servings:
Group

Complexity:
Easy

Total Time:
1 hour

Ingredients:
1-2lb. Brie wheel
2 sheets puff pastry
2 eggs
1/4 cup milk
Flour

Directions:
Whip egg and milk together ot make egg wash.

Roll thawed puff pastry dough to 12" X 12" square, using flour to avoid sticking. Using egg wash, brush a thin coat on one side of one of the sheets, and place the brie on that sheet.

Next, cover the wheel with the second sheet and seal the two sheets together (try to avoid any air pockets.) Cut away excess dough. Once again, make sure edges are well sealed.

Decorate brie with cutouts or braids of the excess pastry dough using the egg wash to affix them. Egg wash the entire top lightly. Bake in 375 degree preheated voern for 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown.

Cook's Notes:
This is great served warm or at room temperature. I like to serve whole cranberry sauce on the side.
