Complexity:
Very Easy

Total Time:
1 hour

Ingredients:
1 pound lean ground beef
1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
2 tsp olive oil
1 (14.5oz) can diced tomatoes with garlic and onions
1/3 cup raisins
1/2 tsp ground cumin
1/4 tsp allspice
Salt and pepper to taste
1 cup black beans, rinsed and drained, optional
1/3 cup chopped, pimento-stuffed green olives, optional

Directions:
Cook beef and green peppers in skillet in olive oil over medium heat until beef browns, about 5 minutes. Drain off fat; add tomatoes, raisins, cumin, allspice, salt and pepper. If using, add beans and olives. Cook over low heat, covered, 7-10 minutes until hot. Serve.

Cook's Notes:
This dish can be served over rice, also as a main course.
