Asphodel Bread
Submitted by Sue Lowes on Jan 28, 2010

Yummy yeast bread made with biscuit mix.

Servings:
8

Complexity:
Very Easy

Total Time:
30 minutes

Ingredients:
5 cups of biscuit mix
4 eggs
2 cups warm milk
2 packages rapid-rise yeast
4 tablespoons sugar
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1 teaspoon salt

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Beat eggs with cream of tartag, sugar and salt. Continue until well mixed. Combine yeast with warm milk, and add to egg mixture. In another bowl, place the five cups of biscuit mix. Slowly add the liquid to biscuit mix. Let dough sit in a warm, draft-free place until it doubles in bulk. Bake in greased and floured loaf pan for about 20 minutes until golden brown. Turn out on wire rack to cool. Makes 3 standard loaves

Cook's Notes:
This recipe was in the Tyler paper on Wednesday but I have made it before. Yummy!
