British Flapjacks

Soft, chewy granola cookies

Total Time:
1 hour

Ingredients:
3/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup honey
1 large egg
4 cups regular rolled oats
1 cup coarsely chopped hazelnuts
1/2 cup raisins

Directions:
In a bowl, mix together butter, sugar, honey, egg, oats, nuts and raisins. Pat mixture firmly into a buttered and flour-dusted 9-inch square pan.

Bake at 300 oven until deep golden--50 to 55 minutes. Cut into 16 pieces, then let cool in pan. Redo cuts and remove from pan with a spatula. Serve, or store air-tight up to 5 days. Fre4eze to store longer.
