Kathy's Cake
Submitted by Sue Lowes on Jun 03, 2010

Chocolate pudding cake

Servings:
Group

Complexity:
Very Easy

Total Time:
1 hour

Ingredients:
1 cup flour
1 cup chopped pecans
1 stick margarine
1 (8oz) package cream cheese, softened
2 cups Cool Whip
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 large package instant chocolate pudding
1 small package instant chocolate pudding
3 cups milk

Directions:
Melt margarine. Combine with flour and chopped pecans. Spread in bottom of 9 X 13 inch baking dish. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes at 350 and let cool. Combine cream cheese, 2 cups Cool Whip and 1/2 cup powdered sugar. Spread over cooled crust.

Mix puddings with 3 cups milk until thickened. Spread over cream cheese layer. Top layer with cool whip. You can shred a chocolate bar and sprinkle over the top or top with chopped nuts.

Cook's Notes:
This was a favorite at our pot-luck lunches at my old firm in San Antonio, Catto & Catto. Kathy always brought this dish. This can be made with lemon pudding also.

Forget love---I'd rather fall in chocolate!
