Chess Pie

Sweet and rich custard pie.

Total Time:
1 hour

Ingredients:
1&1/2 cups sugar
1&1/2 tablespoons cornmeal
1/2 cup butter, melted
3 whole eggs
1 teaspoon white vinegar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 cup milk
Frozen, unbaked 9-inch pie shell

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 F. Mix sugar and cornmeal. Add melted butter; mix thoroughly. Add eggs one at a time, mixing after each. Add liquids and mix well.

Pour 2&2/3 cups of filling into unbaked pie shell. Bake for approximately 45 minutes.
