Honey Mustard BBQ sauce over grilled salmon
Servings:
4
Complexity:
Easy
Total Time:
1 hour
Ingredients:
Mustard BBQ Sauce
1/2 cup Dijon mustard
1 tsp soy sauce
3 Tbsp. clover honey
Few dashes Tabasco sauce
1 Tbsp. light-brown sugar
3 Tbsp. rice-wine vinegar or cider vinegar
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
Grilled Salmon
4 salmon fillets, 8 oz each
2 Tbsp. canola oil
Salt & freshly ground pepper
Directions:
Whisk together all ingredients for the BBQ sauce and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or up to 24 hours before using. The longer the sauce sits in the refrigerator, the better the flavor becomes. Bring to room temperature before using.
Salmon
Heat the grill to high.
Brush the salmon fillets on both sides with the oil and season with salt and pepper to taste. Grill the salmon on each side until golden brown and cooked medium-well-done or to your liking, brushing with some of the sauce every few minutes. Remove the salmon from the grill and immediately drizzle the top of each fillet with more of the sauce. Serve remaining sauce on side.
