Grand Canyon Granola

Ingredients:
2&1/2 cups rolled oats
1 cup coconut flakes
1/2 cup wheat germ
1/2 cup sesame seeds
1/2 cup chopped almonds
1/2 cup shelled sunflower seeds
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup salad oil
1/2 cup chopped dates
1/2 cup raisins
Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, combine oats, coconut, wheat germ, sesame seeds, almonds and sunflower seeds. When thoroughly mixed, add honey and oil. Mix well. Spread onto a 13 X 9 X 2 inch baking pana nd bake at 250 for 45 minutes. Stir every 15 minutes. Remove from the oven and stir in the dates and raisins. Allow mixture to cool, stirring occasionally to keep from sticking. Once cooled, place granola in a plastic container for storage.
Cook's Notes:
Dried cranberries can be substituted for the raisins or you can have both.
