Cold Weather Soup

Hearty beef and bean soup.

Ingredients:
1 pound lean ground beef
1 cup chopped onions
2 cans Ranch Style beans
1 can black-eyed peas, drained
1 can corn, drained
1 can (14&1/2 oz) whole tomatoes
1 can (8 oz) tomatoes with green chilies
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Directions:
In a large pan, cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until beef is browned. Drain off liquid. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer fo 30 minutes, stirring often.
Cook's Notes:
Good with Cornbread
Add your own seasoning, e.g. chili powder, oregano, hot pepper sauce or Cajun seasoning.
